These fashion-forward ballet flats, designed by Colin Lin, are made of about three pages of colorful Chinese-language newsprint.
Though not 100% sustainable (the shoes are coated in plastic, and the outsole is leather), they’re crafted by Taiwanese artisans working out of their homes – thereby not contributing to the region’s polluting factory culture.
